What is a mango lassi?

Mango lassi is a traditional Indian drink with a yogurt base, attributing to it’s creamy milkshake-like consistency. Sweet mango paired with coconut and notes of cardamom make this mango lassi absolutely delicious.

Kitchen essentials
  • A blender or food processor. I have been using a Ninja blender for years and it works as good now as it did on the first day.
Substitutions
  • Vanilla yogurt: any plain or vanilla yogurt will work. You could also omit the yogurt completely, but the drink won’t be as creamy or nutritious.
  • Coconut milk: any nondairy milk will work but I love the signature coconut flavor in this mango lassi. I recommend using full-fat coconut milk for it’s richness.
  • Pure maple syrup: can be substituted for agave nectar, date syrup, cane sugar or coconut sugar or can be omitted completely.
