Some tips for making this delicious cranberry apple cider
Not only will this drink smell delicious on the stovetop, but it is such a nice drink for a cold winter day and a fun way to use apple cider!
- Use fresh cranberry juice, not cocktail or from concentrate
- Strain the hot cider from the fruit and spices to make pouring easier. I like to garnish with some of the cinnamon sticks from the pot, fresh oranges slices and fresh cranberries.
- If you’re saving the cider for later use, skip the straining and keep all the fruit and spices in the apple cider and they will continue to add more flavor with time.
You can also enjoy this drink cold!
If you prefer a cold cranberry apple cider, there are 2 ways to go about this:
- Follow the instructions below for simmering, then transfer the cider to the fridge for a few hours.
- Add all the ingredients to a large pot or mason jar and store in the fridge for 2-3 days. Stir before serving.
