I’m taking your vegan milk to the next with this freshly made blueberry milk because why not add half a serving of fruit to your milk!? Not only does this milk taste like a sweet ‘n’ creamy tropical dream, but it’s packed with healthy carbs, fiber, calcium, B vitamins, manganese and so many other vitamins and minerals. I love to enjoy this milk with my breakfast, lunch or just as a little treat! And the best part is it’s only 4 to 5 simple ingredients!
The idea for this blueberry milk recipe came to me when I was at my local grocery store. I was staring at various flavored milks and thought, hey! I can make this vegan! And it was a success! I chugged the whole thing in minutes. The beautiful, vibrant color makes it that much more fun to drink, too.
How to Make Blueberry Milk
You won’t believe how easy this milk is to make. All you have to do it add all 5 ingredients to the blender and blender until creamy! That’s it!Â
How to Store Blueberry Milk
You can store the blueberry milk in the fridge for 3-4 days.
Kitchen essentials:
- A blender
- Measuring cups
Substitutions:
- Plain unsweetened oat milk: you can use any non-dairy milk of choice. I prefer oat milk for it’s extra creaminess, as well as soy milk and cashew milk.
- Frozen blueberries:Â frozen blueberries work best since they keep the milk cold (and they also provide this beautiful, vibrant color). If you use fresh blueberries, you will need to put the milk on ice or refrigerate to chill.Â
- Pure maple syrup:Â can be substituted for another liquid sweetener like agave nectar or date syrup.
