About this healthy hot chocolate + 2 ways to make it

Heartwarming, creamy & made with all the good stuff! I’ve provided 2 healthy hot chocolate recipes here. What’s the difference?

The first one (my favorite) uses medjool dates for sweetener. Although this one is healthier, it requires slightly more work and a blender, which is why I added a second option that uses coconut sugar. Coconut sugar is healthier than refined sugar, but is still a processed food. Medjool dates are a great whole-food sweetener without the added sugar.

Substitutions
  • Lite coconut milk: can be substituted for full-fat coconut milk or any milk of your choice.
  • Coconut sugar: can be substituted for cane sugar.
Kitchen essentials
  • A blender (option 1)
  • A mesh strainer (option 1)
  • A small saucepan
